Georganics -Mineral Toothpaste Review

Updated: Aug 17, 2021

The Georganics mineral toothpaste is available from the Georganics website here. You can get a 10% discount if you subscribe to their emailing list.

Georganics are a natural, sustainable and organic company that specialise in oral care products. They don't use parabens, SLS or Triclosan in any of their products. They locally source their products wherever possible and their packaging is all compostable, biodegradable or recyclable. Finally, they are committed to fair trade, fair employment and environmental protection practices.

Georganics was the first sustainable toothpaste brand I tried. I purchased the orange flavour for myself and the spearmint one for my boyfriend. The toothpaste itself comes in a glass jar with a lid and they also provide a wooden scooping tool to get the toothpaste out the jar and onto the brush. It is quite a different process from the more conventional method of squeezing toothpaste out a plastic tube.

The toothpaste is definitely usable. It isn't the most pleasant experience, it has a clay like texture and doesn't foam up. I think because the flavours are natural they're not as strong as you'd expect either. However, it does leave your teeth feeling clean and as nice as 'normal' toothpaste it just doesn't have the same texture, taste and experience. My boyfriend particularly didn't enjoy but we did finish the jars before moving on to another brand. I don't think I'd buy this jar of mineral toothpaste again.

However, I do want to try the toothpaste tablets instead. I have tried the Lush toothpaste tabs, unfortunately they come in a plastic bottle, but I did much prefer using these and would have continued to if they weren't in plastic. The Georganics' tabs come in a glass jar so I shall give these a try at a later date.

Overall, I think I'd have to give the Georganics mineral toothpaste 2.5/5 stars. I love the ethos of the brand and the idea behind it but this product was just not the one for me. Also, at £6.90 its not particularly cheap. I am still keen to try the other products in Georganics' range and I shall review them!

Let me know if you've tried this and what you thought! If you have any other plastic-free vegan oral hygiene products you'd like me to try or tell me about please do drop me a message on instagram!
