Wild deodorants are single-use, plastic-free, refillable and natural deodorants that come in an aluminium case. The deodorant formula is vegan, gluten-free and aluminium free! Having an aluminium free deodorant is important to me because of some of the health concerns associated with aluminium in deodorant- but this is a discussion for another time! The case comes in a variety of colours, I opted for purple. There are also a variety of scents to choose from, and Wild add scents regularly. There are a variety of ways to purchase the Wild deodorant. The refillable case costs £7. The refills then cost £5 each if you subscribe to the subscription plan or £6 each if you choose to purchase them individually. If you don't select the subscription plan, the refills have to be purchased in sets of 3. There is also the option to add personalised text to the case for £3. This would be a cute idea if you were purchasing as a gift.
The Wild packaging is also plastic-free and comes with clear instruction about to loads the case with the refills. I purchased the rose, bergamot and orange scents. I started using Wild in mid-October and have only now in mid-December had to refill. Although that being said, having a lockdown in this period means I perhaps wasn't having to use the deodorant every day... Wild suggests that each refill will last 4 weeks with daily use.
I really like this deodorant, it works for me, and I think it is reasonably priced. There is no 'transition period' like there are with some other natural deodorants such as nuud. It is worth noting this deodorant isn't an antiperspirant, which Wild have done intentionally as sweating is a natural and important function. However, there are ingredients to make you sweat less by absorbing it. I found that I barely sweat with Wild, and there is no smell. However, I wouldn't say it lasts 24 hours, sometimes I will put it on before bed and then again the next morning if I don't plan to shower that morning before going out. This is because otherwise I'll sweat overnight and need to shower.
Overall, I would give Wild deodorant 5/5 stars. I have purchased Wild as a Christmas present for some of my family members, I do endorse it that much. I am aware that Wild is slightly more expensive being £5-6 as opposed to £2-4 for an average deodorant in Boots or something of the sort. However, I do think this cost is worth the benefits of Wild if you're able to make the switch feasibly!
If you have any suggestions of vegan plastic-free deodorants for me to try and review, please message me them on Instagram!
EDIT: The family members I bought Wild deodorants for love it!
